Case Studies
Since 2023, Producer Gathering has been developing 9 new case studies that bring together producers from across the UK and internationally. Through these conversations, we explore shared challenges, uncover global commonalities, and build bridges that transcend geography and culture.
In a time of conflict, funding restrictions, and pauses in practice, these are not abstract discussions; they are urgent. Our belief is simple: if we continue to empower one another and the communities we work with, our arts ecosystem can survive and thrive. Knowledge sharing is central to that.
Some case studies include an editor’s note offering updates on where producers are now. These reflections underline how relevant the topics remain, exploring themes such as:
ethics, participation, care, placemaking, community engagement, anti-racist spaces, cultural storytelling, touring and outdoor arts, co-creation, artistic practice, collaboration, theatre audience transformation, networking, producing models, international cooperation, access and inclusion, and cultural entrepreneurship.
If a case study resonates with you, please share your reflections and circulate it within your networks. Together, we can ensure more people feel seen, heard, and valued.
The Case Studies form a growing archive that documents and celebrates the important work of producers.
