Union Resources

Maddy Costa & Gillie Kleiman have been working together to explore Union work – specifically through their membership of Designers + Cultural Workers within United Voices of the World (UVW).

They arranged conversations in small groups that happened October to December 2022 on working conditions: pay relationships, safety, contracts, and the potential role of unionised or united work in challenging inequitability and exploitation.

The focus was learning, solidarity and encouragement, and for each conversation there are a set of notes with: issues discussed, questions that arose, and possible collective actions that might be taken, plus resources that could support movements towards change.
