ACE templates 2022
The Uncultured now have a whole page dedicated to ACE templates in their resources section. This includes a DYCP template, a DYCP report template and an Under £30k NLPG template, plus the old under £15k report for while it might still be useful.
Other updates are in the works.

A Freelance Supporters Menu
Written during The Uncultured’s time on the Freelance Taskforce, this menu was written for organisations to consider how they might better support freelancers. It might also be of interest to freelancers to use as a conversation tool with an organisation they are working with to encourage more equitable sector change.

Bio
The Uncultured (Ashleigh Bowmott and Laura Sweeney) are arts independents working collaboratively to produce, curate, facilitate and advocate. They primarily work in performance and live arts fields, although see these disciplinary boundaries as porous and unfixed.
Artist development is at the core of their practice, believing that sustainability is in crisis and needs to be attended to by everyone in the sector. They champion better, more equitable working conditions in the arts and support others to speak up too.
Their work includes:
- Producing artistic projects with social purpose, artistic integrity and cultural influence
- Facilitating and curating professional development programmes for young people, students and emerging artists
- One-to-one advisory or consultancy to artists, producers, organisations and arts workers
- Supporting practice development and step-change through consultancy and application writing
- Providing free-to-use resources for freelancers
- Advocating for the sector and the independents working in it.
