SJ Woods (she/her) is a Creative Producer from the West of Ireland. A collaborative and ambitious arts Leader, she is motivated by bolstering artists to think big and push conventional boundaries. She has 5+ years work experience as an Independent Producer between Ireland and the UK, as line Producer with Dublin-based Brokentalkers Theatre Company and more recently, as Production Coordinator and Project Manager with 59 Productions in London.

Producing Practice
My producing practice cross pollinates between theatre, cabaret and live art. With an international focus, I specialise in artist development, new work and touring . Most recently, as an Independent Producer, I’ve worked with Lauren O’Leary on Maybe You Can Save Me (Work-in-progress, Dublin Fringe 2024) and Conviction by Eva O’Connor (Dublin Fringe Festival, 2022).
I have 5+ years in theatre production at a range of scales. My motivation for working in the arts comes from my background in Youth Theatre after which I realised that, being apart of the producing process was all I wanted to do. I believe that a theatre space should be at the heart of it’s community and I am a huge advocate of socially-engaged, participatory theatre and the transformational things that it’s capable of. I also focus on artist wellbeing and burnout prevention and encouraging a strong work/life balance.
