Amy has a 17 year track record of senior roles in the arts, and now works on a full-time freelance portfolio of consultancy, mentoring, facilitation, training & development projects across the UK. Amy’s background & artistic specialism is in dance, outdoor arts and circus, with training and qualifications from University of Surrey and Trinity Laban. Amy is registered ChMgr with the Chartered Management Institute, holding a Level 7 Cert. in Strategic Leadership & Management. Amy also specialises in outdoor arts, participation & community engagement with much of that experience gained during 9 years working with artsNK & Transported as Head of Dance & Circus Development in Lincolnshire, as a funder distributing £2.5m in project funds & development activity with Dance Hub Birmingham at Culture Central in 2018 and followed by working as Creative Learning Producer for Motionhouse, Senior Producer with Arches Worcester Festivals in 2021 and LYNNEBEC as Senior Producer on the Athletes Welcome Ceremonies as part of Birmingham 2022. Amy has specific experience of working in fundraising, training & business development; regularly working 1 to 1 with artists, producers, companies & organisations securing over £2.5m in ACE funding, including DYCP, Project Grants & NPO since going freelance in 2020. Amy works on a broad range of organisation development, governance and business support schemes, and currently: Freelance Co-Director with Propel Dance - the UK's first professional wheelchair touring dance company based in Birmingham, seeing them start-up as a new organisation and creating their first business plan alongside national & international projects, Chair of NPO Steering Group at Gloucester Guildhall & Member of the West Midlands Combined Authority's Cultural Leadership Board.

Producing Practice
My approach, as a former producer, is to support artists, producers and leaders at all stages to achieve greatness. That manifests as mentoring and advisory support, fundraising and bidwriting services, facilitation and training plus strategic development, business planning & critical friendship. I work with people of all career stages, backgrounds and artform disciplines, although my core expertise lies in dance, community engagement and participation and the outdoor arts. My freelance portfolio has evolved rapidly over the last 4.5 years and I pride myself on a person-centred approach, wanting to achieve change for a more equitable sector.
