Producing Practice
I'm interested in looking at producing as an approach to cultural making. Therefore, I accept projects and jobs that allow me to practice my artistic interests in experimental art, artistic gatherings, and cultural contradiction while holding my values of integrity, courage, adventure, and grace. I see international touring as an act of cultural diplomacy defined by the touring company that gets to go around the world showcasing and negotiating who they are as the people being where they are from. Works that are challenging to fit in a neat box interest me as I can use my dramaturgical knowledge aligned to my producer knowledge to bridge any gaps between the art/the artists and the programmers. I love a spreadsheet as well as a WhatsApp voice note - whatever is most helpful to the project I'm serving.
